AMT PP017 Get On Up Garage Set

This great little figure and accessory set by AMT is a faithful reproduction of the clothing and items of the typical American Garage from the 1950's - 1980's and is the perfect accessory point to your 1/25th scale model car dioramas.

This kit includes one standing mechanic figure. He consists of separate legs/torso, two arms and a head. He is designed to hold an air impact gun which is supplied in the kit. Unlike the Tip Top Shop, this kit comes with the air hose, however, the compressor is missing. You can find the air compressor in the AMT Tip Top Shop kit instead. You can find name tags for your figures on the decal sheet which include Ted, Carter, and Ross. Oddly enough, there are 6 name tags, but only 3 names. 

Unlike the AMT Weekend Wrenchin' and Tip Top Shop sets, there really is only one model in this box and that is the Hoist. That being said, this is the best hoist model on the market! 

The Get On Up 2-Post Hydraulic Hoist Garage Scenes Diorama set is made up of 24 parts which include a display base with a drain screen molded in. The drain screen features open slats which adds a touch of realism to the scene. A mixture of rust and stains around the metal drain would look perfect for an older shop. The floor plate includes two clips for mounting the vertical lift posts as well as some concrete grooves. The plate is 3/8th of an inch thick for those that want to bring up their garage diorama floor to level the plastic plate to. 

A cross brace holds the two vertical posts in place and mounts to the floor plate. A 2-piece hydraulic lift control box with air canister is mounted on one of the vertical posts, just like a real 2-Post Hydraulic Hoist. 

The lift arms are fully adjustable to fit any AMT or other manufacturer's 1/24th - 1/25th scale model car kit. The arms swing to the left or right and the pads move in and out. The entire mechanism has multiple gear racks which lock tightly with the gear racks on the two vertical posts. 

Technically speaking, you should be able to set your 2-Post Hydraulic Hoist up to it's highest position which should allow you to put one car on the top and one underneath, but I haven't built my 2-Post Hydraulic Hoist, so I can't tell you if this is possible or not. 

Full color decals let you decorate your 2-Post Hydraulic Hoist and Garage with large signs, oily patches, caution signs and more. Over 100 images to choose from!
