Build A Monster Contest Entry and Rules

Entry Fee: $5.00 per model

Ready to unleash your creativity? Join the Monster Hobbies Build A Monster Contest 2024! Here's how it works:

  • Entry Fee: $5.00 per model. A single model counts as one entry, so if you enter two models, that's two entries, and so on.
  • Dioramas and Wargaming Units: Dioramas or wargaming figure units with multiple models count as one entry.
  • Special Category Theme (MonMH13): Our theme changes every year, and for 2024, it’s all about Post-Apocalyptic Wastelands!

Important Dates:

  • Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted by midnight on October 31st (Alberta time).
  • Winners Announced: Models will be judged, and awards will be mailed out by November 5th, 2024.

How to Enter:

  1. Simply send four clear photos of your models to ursulescu@yahoo.com with a description of your work and the category you’re entering.
  2. You can enter multiple models in different categories. Each entry is $5.
  3. Be sure to include "BAM 2024 Entry" in the email subject line.

Categories:
We have a variety of fun categories for you to choose from:

  • MonMH1 - Out of the Box Builds: Any kit built straight from the box (OTB).
  • MonMH2 - Concepts and One of a Kinds: Replace a few parts on your OTB model.
  • MonMH3 - Totally Wild: Cartoon kits like Ed Roth and Dave Deal.
  • MonMH4 - Monster Figure Diorama: Show us where your monster lives!
  • MonMH5 - Creepy Cars: Ecto-1, the Mystery Machine, hearses, and more.
  • MonMH6 - Haunted Houses: Bates Motel, Psycho House, and other haunted dwellings.
  • MonMH7 - Science Fiction Figures: Any sci-fi-themed models.
  • MonMH8 - Science Fiction Vehicles: Custom sci-fi vehicles.
  • MonMH9 - Evil Wargaming Minis: Wargaming figures.
  • MonMH10 - Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Scenes: Any prehistoric-themed models.
  • MonMH11 - Heroes and Superheroes: Superhero-themed figures.
  • MonMH12 - Figure Busts: Full-size busts (head and shoulders).
  • MonMH13 - Annual Special Subject: Post-Apocalyptic Wastelands.

Payment Options:
Entry fees can be paid via PayPal or through our shopping cart on this web site. 

This small fee covers the cost of awards and shipping them to you.

Prizes:
Each category winner will receive official Monster Hobbies certificates!

These will be mailed out to your home address after the contest.
