1975 Highlights

Down by 8 laps, Petty gave a boost to 2nd place runner Benny Parsons helping Parsons to take the Daytona 500. After the race, Parsons expressed gratitude for the Petty draft that shaved seconds off Pearson's lead. In the Champion Spark Plug 400, Petty took the checker after five lead changes in the final five laps. Piling up 13 wins, 21 top fives, and 24 top tens, King Richard took the 1975 Winston Cup championship with 722 points to spare.
