1973 Highlights

Petty nabbed his 4th Daytona 500 victory in 1973. Hard-charging took Petty to his 150th checkered flag at the Richmond 500, even after recovering from a wreck early in the race. Weaving through a fiery 14-car wreck, Richard snared his 7th straight Richmond victory at the Capitol City 500. Petty finished the '73 season with a fifth place finish in the points standings, with 6 wins under his belt.
