Trivia

Most of the design artwork was by Rob Liefield. 
Many of the designs were completely fresh just for this set while other designs in the series were straight snapshots of art from the X-Force comic books.

New Mutants

The New Mutants started out as a team of young superhuman mutants first lead by Professor Xavier, then Magneto and now the mysterious Cable. 

In the past Xavier taught the young mutants control and the proper use of their powers. 

Today, cable is training a transformed older team into using its powers more aggressively against its foes. He is transforming the New Mutants into the new X-force.
